Our Purposes

The PDWPA, a not-for-profit corporation, promotes:

The establishment, operation, and maintenance of a community organization for the following purposes:

1. To advocate for, and pursue, initiatives that will benefit the community by preserving and enhancing the marine culture and heritage of Port Dover;
2. To advocate for, and pursue, initiatives that will benefit the community by protecting and enhancing the environment along the waterfronts and waterways of Port Dover’s Lake Erie, Black Creek, Lynn River and Silver Lake;
3. To advocate for, and pursue, initiatives that will benefit the community by providing recreational as well as educational opportunities along these waterfronts and waterways;
4. To advocate for, and pursue, initiatives that will benefit the community by preserving and enhancing physical and visual access to these waterfronts and waterways for the public’s health and well-being;
5. To advocate for, and pursue, initiatives that will benefit the community by serving such other complementary charitable purposes consistent with the aforementioned purposes.
